Kanchanpur district is located in far western region of Nepal. It lies in Mahakali zone. It is bounded by India from two sides;in western and southern sides; Kailali in eastern side and Dadeldhura in northern side. The Mahakali river seperates Kanchanpur from India in western side.Here are many attractive and beautiful places having natural beauty and religious importance, It lies in the terai terai region. The land is plain and we can see beautiful hills in the northern side. The attractive places of Kanchanpur are Asia's first largest suspension bridge over Mahakali river which joins two VDC's Dodhara and Chadani which are beyond Mahakali river in western side.,Siddhanath temple, Baijnath temple,Rautela, Bishnu mandir,Jhilmila lake, Suklaphanta wildlife reserve etc.many tourists come every year to visit these places. Here is good facilities for tourists in Mahendranagar town which is in the heart of Kanchanpur. Thetourists can stay and enjoy various facilities.The main place of attraction is Suklaphanta wildlife Reserve whe we can see bengal tigers. deers, elephants, stags, various species of birds,lakesetc. It is also neaqr from the Mahendranagar city.The other lakes in Kanchanpur are Jhilmila lake, Bandataal,Betkot taal etc, which are too much beautiful. Kanchanpur has higher significance in Tourism of Nepal.
